BETA GIRLS' Breast Cancer Awareness Talk, how it went down!

Beta Girls Organization, on the 27th of October 2017, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month; October; decided to educate the girls of Revival Comprehensive Bilingual Evening School, Douala, Cameroon on Breast Cancer.

The event began with a welcome speech from the Founder of Beta Girls Organization; Clarisse Ndinge, a word of prayer, and then the first speaker took the stage; certified and practicing Medical Doctor; Dr Kaptue Belinda.

She educated the girls on breast cancer by answering the following questions in detail:
-What is Breast cancer?
-How Frequent is breast cancer?
-What are the risk factors?
-What are the signs and symptoms?
-What are the treatment options?
-How can One do self examination?
-How do we prevent Breast Cancer?

The second speaker; Mrs Sarah Simo, a stage 4 C Breast Cancer Survivor, in turn took over the stage, sharing her experience with Breast Cancer, and how she survived after going through chemotherapy, radiation treatment, a double mastectomy, homonotherapy among other treatment procedures. She attributes her survival to God.

In total, over 120 girls gathered for the event.
