If your vagina produces no discharge then you should be worried!

A lady made a post on social media, bragging about how she had been wearing the same pant for 6 days and it was still dry with no discharge.

Doctor Kelechi Okoro aka Healthertainer reacted to the post with this educational piece:

1. Don't wear your panties for 6 days, are you lacking undies or you are just being dramatic?
2. Aunty, your vagina produces no discharge at all 😱😱 clap for yourself. Bad news, that is bad news.

A healthy vagina produces secretions to cleanse and regulate itself, similar to how saliva cleanses and regulates the environment of the mouth. The discharge keeps the vagina lubricated and prevents proliferation of bacteria that causes vaginal infection . Normal discharge may appear clear, cloudy white, and/or yellowish when dry on clothing. It may also contain white flecks and at times may be thin and stringy . Changes in the amount or consistency of normal discharge can occur for many reasons, including menstrual cycle, emotional stressors, nutritional status, pregnancy, usage of medications - including birth control pills, anti histamine for treatment of flu, etc and sexual arousal. . So if you have no vaginal discharge at all, then you should be worried. So dear poster, on behalf of all the "leaking bitches", I forgive your ignorance.
