"When I didn't die, I knew that I am a survivor"- Nokwethemba

Once or more in my life, I heard people saying:
"We are doing our best but she may not come back alive after this surgery"
When I didn't die, I knew that I am a Survivor.
"At 11 years and she still hasn't found a school? There's no hope for her education."
But when I saw my name on the newspaper Grade 12 column in 2010, I was certain that I am a Conqueror.
"Looking at the kind of high school she came from, there's no way she can make it in varsity"
And there I was, driving down the UKZN graduation aisle with a degree certificate on my left hand, wheelchair control gear on my right hand and a biggest smile on my face.
"Where and how will she work in her condition?"
When I got the job, negative comments were silenced and self doubts vanished.
Martin Luther King Jr. Once said "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward"
I can't fly, run, walk or crawl, but guess what, I haven't stopped moving forward and yes I am rolling!
